Terence Woodgate

Terence Woodgate began his career as a design engineer and specialised in furniture design at London Guildhall University. In 1988, he founded his own studio in London.

Since then, he has developed a body of work recognised for its modernity, precision and functional sensitivity. His approach combines ideas and craftsmanship, with meticulous attention to materials, construction and the demands of everyday use.

Appointed Royal Designer for Industry in 2003 and recipient of numerous international awards, his work embodies a refined British elegance. His designs combine practical innovation and quality, resulting in pieces of exceptional formal clarity, free from excess.
