Vicent Martínez

Vicent Martínez is a key figure in contemporary Spanish design and one of the driving forces behind Punt Mobles. Born in Valencia into a family with strong ties to craftsmanship, he studied at the School of Applied Arts in Valencia and the Escola Massana in Barcelona.

In 1980, he founded Punt Mobles and, a few years later, designed La Literatura, a double-sided bookcase on wheels that became an icon of Spanish furniture design.

Featured in museums and regarded as a classic of 20th-century design, La Literatura holds a prominent place in his career. A designer, educator and lecturer, Martínez has always championed an approachable, functional approach to design, deeply rooted in culture.
